They have a culture. It is just different and much more modern than most!

200 years is too short to develop a culture, they are still importing parts of culture from all over the world and Australia will just be a melting pot of cultures. It will be rooted in an English culture though and not an aboriginal culture which is a shame as that has been sidelined.
The culture they do have at present even though it is still developing is one of an easy going lifestyle and let everybody live life in thier own way. Which to me is a very advanced culture maybe you just dont see how advanced not having one fixed culture for the entire country is.

And who do you think the aboriginals are?
They are an ancient tribe originating in Africa when all the land was joined as One!
You have failed to observe the cultural history of Australia and the planet I think.

I lived in Australia for a couple of years and found a very distinct
pleasant modern western culture...

I have never been there but find their people I have met to be easy going and to have a good sense of humour/banter - maybe that is part of their culture?
