What the hell is it with the anti - immigrant stuff? Words like 'flooded' and 'variety'? They're not products... and seeing as we in the UK invaded most of these places [granted not Europe] we owe them. And I ask you not to forget, we're all [probably] descended from immigrants. The person from Texas - your family probably originated from Europe. And to the other Brits, we're mainly from the continent or from Ireland. So we all probably 'flooded' a country at some time...

Let me preface my statement by apologizing for not knowing that the United Kingdom still had unwilling countries still forced to fall under her umbrella of a nation.
I know that Ireland has had many years of conflict, and it is still occurring - just not much news here in the US.
I live in the state of Texas, and our history includes having 6 flags fly over us: Spain, France, Mexico, Confederacy, Texas [as a nation] and the United States. We Texans were for a very short while a nation. But, it is good that we did join up with the US, and I'm certain that there are few things in common with the UK on how things are handled, though. That is probably why there is still strife and anger over the control by the UK.
Give Texas another 20 yrs or less, and you'll see the Mexican flag flying high - due to the extreme influx of illegal migration. Which, I have hear-tell, is the plan of the Mexican people. They want to claim Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico back and they are doing it by forced immigration.
Down with Governor Rick Perry and all other politicians who are turn-coating the Southern half of the United States! Our prayers go to you, too, Wales and England!!!

We can all have Independence from each other, if that is what the people of the respective country's want. maybe we would get on better if we did, as we would feel more equal and not a minority,as wales and Scotland feel, this is not a swipe at the English it is just the way things are.

They should go for independence as soon as possible.
As I understand it, the British ilses are being flooded with foreigners, especially of the non-european variety. They will forever change your country and not for the better. Looks good on American TV, but in the streets of America, it's ugly.
You guys need to break free and protect your country (Scottish heritage) because if you don't you'll be a multi-cultural cesspool with ethnics constantly battling you over economic and political power.
Diversity = disunity. "A house divided cannot stand."

Its not that simple. As with northern Ireland, there are a large percentage of the population who feel they are still part of the uk ie Protestants who are loyal to the queens rule. Until the majority of people vote otherwise nothing will change.

I am from the north of England and lived in Scotland for four years. Scotland is a beautiful country but wallowing in self-pity, a desperate culture of dependency and not to mention a strong streak of racism and homophobia. In short it is not a very civlised place and it is time separated itself from these dole-scrounging hypocrites. Hmmm come to think of it, England isn't that great either...

Never. It would be like asking when New York and Florida are going to break away from the USA. Heck, even the Irish know that...

If it is not broken why fix it! We have had enough change to last a million years - most of which is not for the better - so leave alone and keep trying to bridge your gaps with history.
