As usual, cons are not answering the questioion. I know Bush has the authority to order soldiers not to talk.

The question is:WHY? What other abuses of our soldiers is he trying to conceal?

as usual, the bush admin takes responsibility for nothing and blames the victims for exposing their criminal negligence and wants to punish those who spoke up and not the real criminals who chose to leave our brave vets in squalid conditions that would make you puke.

Apples and oranges. Soldiers are governed by a different set of laws, rights, and regulations. A commanding office most certainly can order subordinates to remain silent. Doing otherwise is insubordination of a direct order, and it's punishable.

Edit: Why? The military has ALWAYS informed its personnel to not speak to the press without authorization. This is nothing new, nor related to this particular issue.

As usual, a person who doesn't have a clue as to what he is saying.

The Uniform Code of Military Justice prohibits service members from making comments. This has been going on since the inception of our military.

Get a clue Homer.
