Definitely !!
Every year the Devils are a succesful team and he's one of their most important players.
He's an icon of the defensive play proposed in NJ, and they have the BEST defense of the league.
Now he has a -2 rating (is raising) and only 8 PIM !!!
GO DEVILS

Jay Pandolfo is the most underrated player ever! .. ever. Should he win the Selke, I'd say so only because I can't find a better player that can shut down the greats that you mentioned. This guy finally got noticed last year for shutting down jagr. He did a tremendous job and yes, he is the cleanest player ever in the game of hockey. He was supposed to be a crazy goal-scorer but he considered the team to be more important and for that, I have an infinite respect for him. He is one of my favorite players for his awesome loyalty and skill. I love this guy. If he happens to win the Selke, he deserves it 100%. He can adapt to his team and the team will benefit from him. Long-time Devil and Defensive Forward, Jay Pandolfo without a doubt deserves the Selke Trophy.

Go Devils =)

Heck yeah! It's almost criminal that Pandolfo hasn't won one yet, he should have been awarded 2 or 3 going into this season. He makes guys like Jagr and Crosby look invisible out there then those players get frustrated and before you know it Jagr tries throwing a punch another Devil, hurts his shoulder and is out for the series. Pandolfo's the man! And he does it with class without hurting the team with penalties.

Of course he should Every time I see an answer that he doesn't provide enough offense, I am annoyed! He is not a scorer. I love defense, and it's a lost art. Perhaps they should change things up a bit? Let the best scoring defensemen have this trophy, and add a new one for the best true defensemen. I recommend calling it the Konstantinov Trophy.

How's his plus/minus and point totals doing? He probably should have something like 50 or 60 points by the end of the season and a very high plus minus of like +20 or something like that to get consideration. I can tell you who won't win it. Alexander Ovechkin, who has like a -13 with all of his goals and points, suggesting to me that even though he can score goals, he can't prevent them very well by playing defense. If he can get that aspect of his game going, maybe then he'll get full recognition as one of the best ever to play, though never the best.
