Spray tan would be the best.
It is a lot safer than the beds.
If you are worried about it coming out splotchy or orange (which can happen if you get a bad brand) I would go to a salon that has spray tanning. This way you will be sure to get a great looking tan and it will be done professionally, which usually means less hassle and mess for you.

Well a spray tan is definitely better for you. You won't risk getting skin cancer that way. But you have to be careful. If you are going to go and get it sprayed on, make sure you are going to a professional. Ask around to see who does it best in your area. If you are going to do it at home, just remember to do it evenly and go lighter on places like your elbow, knees, hands, and feet. You may want to invite some friends over and spray each other. You could wear bikinis if you feel uncomfortable in the nude or a thong in front of them. Also, use the lighter version of the spray stuff since you want a light, natural looking tan. I have used tanning beds before (in high school mostly, like before prom or before my wedding.) My only advice on these is go to a reputable place that you know changes it's bulbs regularly and is clean. I always like to clean the bed before I get into it, just in case. You also clean it before you leave, they usually provide it. Make sure you wear eye protection though. You can usually buy the goggles at the tanning salon. Also you will want to buy lotion there. The kind you get at Wal Mart is usually not all that good. Also, a good reputable tanning salon will have someone who can help you pick out the best lotion for your tanning needs. It is also a good idea to use moisturizer (you can get tanning moisturizer) after you use the tanning bed. You do not want to dry out your skin and start itching. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

hi there. if you want to use a sunbed you have to use it a coupler of times a week for several weeks before even starting to get a tan. you can buy creams at tanning salon to apply to your skin before going on a sunbed to activate the melanin production in skin. sunbeds are ageing and can damage the skin if you don't apply moisturiser daily. with a spray tan. you have it done a couple of days before the event. and then go for a top up the day before. make sure you exfoliate very well before you go and don't apply any deodorant or moisturiser to the face or body wear loose clothing and preferably no bra because after the tan if you put a bra on it will make marks on your body. depends on the style of the dress. the spray tan usually come in diffirent shades for diffirent skin colours. so do not worry about that. if you go top a very good salon they should be able to apply the correct colour on your skin. i have a very pale skin but last summer i often had spray tans and they looked very natural. i prefer it definitely to a sunbed/sunshower it gets too hot in there for me.

definately use spray tan. NOT SUN BEDS. they are so dangerous and so bad for ure skin. may look good for the moment but in a few years the effects will show and u will regret. spray tan, u can get them done really well in places where they do it for u. if u'd prefer not to do it urself then they work really well. if ure on a budget then since u have a few weeks, a good idea mite be to use the self tan which is based in a body moisturizer, they work well. i know from experience. and if u have a few weeks then that is a good option as u can layer up ure tan slowly over the weeks to make it more natural and less streaky, etc. try it!

a spray bed can leave you looking orange, i myself use the tanning bed. I use it maybe 2 months out of the year and that is when the tan starts to wear off. It is cheaper and looks a lot better and is more permanent. I know that a spray on tan is healthier but i like the way the tanning bed looks better,

sunbed. the spray tan comes out looking orange and is really obviously fake. the only danger with a tanning bed is if you use it too much, you could get melanoma. but they will advise you how much to do in the tannign salon. with fair skin, i would only do a few minutes, and it will start a nice base tan, and then you can go back and do another few minutes if you need it.

Sunbeds are not healthy for your skin., no more than 15 min a day in the sun without sunscreen neutrogena is a good tanner and there are more but I can't think of one off hand. The secret is exfoliate your skin all over real good and then find a really good moisturizer without a lot of perfume and one that make your skin soft but not oily or sticky. Apply it all over rub it in and then start the process of applying the tanning lotion all over not rubbing too much but blending gently and then kind of hang around in the bathroom or where ever you are and find something to do that you can let it dry a little before putting clothing over the area. I usually do arm circles, lift up on my toes and down, just easy exercises. or blow a fan on yourself for awhile, Moisturize in between. Good luck

Spray tans are best. They are safe and use DHA, derived from sugar to color the outer layer of your skin. Sunbeds use UVA - radiation. That ages your skin, causes wrinkles and of course cancers.
Modern spray tans do not look orange, see http://www.tropical-sunrise.com/spray-tan-gallery.html for some pics.
They are quick, safe and effective, don't chance your health on a sun bed.

Definitely a spray tan - it comes out really even, also going on a sunbed is even worse than sunbathing with no lotion.
