How do I access my external hard drive, an error shows up??

It says
E:\ is not accessible.

The File or Directory is corrupt or unreadable.

How do I fix it? Please help

if so, how do i reinstall the drive? do u mean the driver for it?

It will show that if the external drive is'nt turn'ed on.Or if not connected right.Unplug and replug and see if pc see's the new hardware.If not may have to install drive again.
