I worked as a D.J. in a Men's Bar so here's some advice.
As a student you need to make ends meet and this is a viable alternative.
Ask yourself these questions:
Are you a good person?
Do you enjoy the idea of men looking at you with amorous desire?
Are you an exhibitionist?
Can you move to music with relative ease?
Are you willing to wear high heels for hours as a means to an end?
Are you sexy? Are you sensuous? Are you capable of getting so close as to be making love without doing it?
Do you find men of all races attractive?
Do you look good in your panties and bra combinations?
Are you willing to invest in the lingerie and shoes?
Can you patiently observe and mimic the actions of others?
If you answered yes to all these questions then, YOU CAN DO IT!
If you only truthfully answered a few then, rethink this thing.
You will be required to perform when you are tired, hungry, angry, horny, PMS'ing, and when you'd rather be doing something else.
However, it can be remuneratively rewarding.
Start now, at home.
Play the part at home, there are really no auditions its a matter of picking the place where you want to work or where you want to set it off. Visit a few of the clubs you are interested in, find out what the split is---you know how much the house gets.
Lastly, unless you are Anna Nicole Smith and you find a Billionaire--do not take these guys home---it creates an image of being a whore--unless you're a nymphomaniac--if so, OH BOY!
Carry yourself as a Lady and you'll be treated as one--don't be condescending. Work as an artist and you will enjoy the experience.

OK first off I am a guy. I love naked women!! BUT would I let my daughter perform?? I must say this nothing in life is free not one thing if they tell you your going to make lots of money fast yes but at what cost?? It is my opinion your soul would be touched not worth the money. I dont frequent the clubs I have gone and I have known a few women that were performers. Lots of bad stuff goes on drugs drinking hooking. I would say find another job its just my opinion you sound like a nice person. Does it make you a bad person are strippers bad? No do I think they are lost YES. If someone tries to tell you that its easy money think again I'm sure its not so easy there is a price to pay for all that cash believe me you dont want to go their if you dont have to. Its just my opinion again strippers please dont get pissed.

no this does not make you a bad person. Its hard to get a head in life. You have to do what you have to do. In the end it will be benificial for you. Its better then being a drug dealer right! I suggest if you do start dancing to dance at a place that is not in your home town. If you are already worried about it and you are just thinking of doing it then you will absolutly die when someone you know comes thru the door. Depending on where you dance at, some girls will help you out. If it is not very busy inside they will give you extra time up on stage so you can practice and i have seen other girls go up on stage and show the new girl what to do. Just remember ever girl there is in it for the money so none of them are ever your friends. Alot of strip clubs have amature night. Look into that. Try it out and see if this is something that you can do every night.

You are very naive. You will probably end up on drugs, get pregnant or never finish college possibly all three. It is not a job for the faint of heart. You better get some very thick skin, learn martial arts or carry a gun. Go check out a few of the clubs before jumping into the fire. As for experience you don't need any. Men LOVE inexperience. They'll teach you a thing or two that's for damn sure.

Do you have a hot body? Can you move in a sexual manner? Can you dance with a pole to music? Are you athletic enough? If you can answer yes to most (or all) of these question, then I say go ahead and try to be one!! There is absolutely nothing wrong with the profession!! I know several women dancers (many are mothers or are paying their way through college) and this doesn't make them a bad person for being a good dancer!! And it doesn't mean that they are all selling themselves for extra cash at the end of the night either! Some of them dance because it is a good job to have, pays very well (if you are good at it), and keeps them in great shape too! If you really want to, then I say go for it!! Good luck!!

I don't think this makes you a bad person, but I think that you will find, if you do go through with it, that there doesn't seem to be anything fulfilling in it. I would be afraid for you of what the boss may want you to do, like lap dancing and more. Be aware that you are exploiting yourself for the satisfaction of others and not doing what is best for yourself. I would hate to do it knowing the kind of people, not all of them, but some, that are there. Some real weirdos out there.

It depends on your own morals. A dancer/stripper can make hundreds of tax-free dollars on a good Saturday night. I say if you have the body for it, do it. Tell your friends (male and female) to come support you on your first night. It might make it a little easier. Remember, you're selling fantasy, not your body or even your soul.
Some people think stripping exploits women, but it is you ladies who empty our wallets at nudie bars, so it is men who get exploited.

It doesn't make you a bad person because you are more than just a stripper. It does; however, show weakness and lack of value for yourself. If you truly value you then you would not allow any man or woman to watch you undress while thinking about doing sexual things to you. It is weakness because you value the easy money more than you value your body/mind. It is through our stuggles that we find serenity and understanding. you are off on an unbalanced path if you follow this route.

No, it doesn't make you a bad person. I have never done it but I know several girls who have. They were smart, beautiful and for them it was just a way of making life easier during their time at college. They worked at a regulated club not a dive. The management looked out for their girls and it was above board.
They got their degrees and quit, but as I said, they were smart.
If you have any doubts, even the slightest one, I'd say don't do it. However, if you are sure, you won't become a bad person because you do it. Just remember your goals and stick to them. Take the money and when you have finished college, run.

Of course your not a bad person! You need the money! Look drug dealers, whores, pimps, and the like are the bad ones! YOU on the other hand are fulfilling the dreams and desires of losers who can't get any action, and are willing to settle for watching.
Get a pole and practice sliding up and down and twirling around on it, pretending it was a baton you used in High School for pom pom girls!
Be prepared to meet the scumbags and down and outs every night in shady lighting. Have fun and remember, you'll be saving up your brain power for when you really need it, like in College!
Don't forget to call your Mom and Dad, Brothers,Sisters, and Boyfriend for your audition!!!
