Amazing, people on here take offense to the truth in this question.

That's not true. Whatever Al Gore may be, he's not a potty-mouth. At least, not while I've been watching. But yes, buying things from a *non-profit* foundation which he owns (and gets a salary from) is a form of tax fraud. Using junk science to drum up business for a company he owns, especially without disclosing that conflict of interest, is also a form of fraud.

Given that his 'documentary' should have been disqualified by the Academy's own rules; and that the Academy's rules call for the producer (who was *not* Mr Gore) to get the award - it's obvious that nobody holds Gore to the same rules the rest of us peons have to follow. He'll get away with the tax scam too, even if Pelosi & co. have to re-write federal laws to protect him.

I didn't know Al Gore had a sister. Maybe he thinks it's cheaper to buy his own carbon credits than someone elses.

How much does a carbon credit cost? Can I buy futures in these things?

Well Al Gore could not kiss his sister since she died of lung cancer from somking the tobbaco his family grew for years.

I think a better question is: why are right wingers so obsessed with Al Gore? He's not running for anything, he's not asking for your tax money, he's not bothering you, he's not invading your home or kissing YOUR sister! Leave the guy alone.

Do you understand what a carbon credit is?

if you do then you would understand that it makes little difference who owns the NON PROFIT company.

Keep feeding into the propaganda that is fed to you everyday on FOX News, and Conservative hate radio..

Or you could turn it off and I'm sure you'll be able to think for yourself one day.

Because he benefits from the peurchase in more ways than one. Public approval and the money going to his own company and profits.

Nope because even if you don´t know accounting.... so far I know the president of GM buys his car, right ? It´s just the same.

The credits need to be generated and therefore cost to the company.

...I don't know. I don't have a sister. Does that mean I can never be Al Gore? Please advise.

If you were going to spend money to alleviate guilt, wouldn't you like to figure out a way to profit off of it at the same time?
