They don't care, you don't have to have an excuse as long as you have the reciept and all the parts. Actually I they allow you so many returns per year without a reciept as long as you bought it there. They are very flexible.

The only thing they ask is "Is there anything wrong with it?" so they know wether or not its still good or what. Just say, nope, nothing wrong with it. They do not care and they will give you your money back.

Walmart will take anything back even without the receipt. They have a belief to take care of the customer. They typically don't ask any questions. Take it to customer service (get it stickered by the door greeter though) and tell them you purchased the wrong one. If they say no, then ask for a member of management and explain you bought the wrong one and plan on spending more money. If a CS person won't help you, management will.

Invent some other reasons, besides sounds like you want an exchange in Walmart for another one; I would just blurt out the 512 deal if they do ask questions and have them match the 512 deal even if it originate elsewhere.

Why say it's broken? Be honest, return it with your receipt, and this way they can sell it again. If they think it's broken, then you're really cheating them, and there's no need to do that.
