May you earned it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they earned it. 130,000 people control 80% of the wealth. Many of them were simply born into it. Many of them stole more than their share.
Do you feel that you are protecting what you earned by protecting the ultra rich? When 1 controls 100%, will you still believe that he earned it?

I'm asking the question sway. And your avatar makes you look rather worldly. So I know that you are not childish enough to believe that someone worth billions is ever actually going to have to answer to the law.

rz, Really, is there something wrong with your reading comprehension? Did I say that all rich are conservative? No I did not.
And for you to pretend that you don't know who I'm talking to is simply a lie.

What is wrong with you people? Do you think this country is only worth about 160-170 million dollars? I'm not talking about your measeley little millionaire. I'm talking about the 130,000 who are worth mega billions! You know that very well. Your greed is going to be your undoing. Unfortunately your greed is going to be my undoing as well.

Most of you probably consider yourselves to be Christians as well. I wonder what you learned from the miracle of the fishes and loaves? Oh that's right Rush is bigger than Jesus. I forgot.

Many of them legally (more or less) obtained their money, but I don't think the ultra rich usually earn their money ethically. For example, why do some unworthy CEO's get multi-million dollar severance packages (or good ones are paid obcene salaries with bonuses) while the janitor can't feed his kids? Why are people allowed to increase their wealth by hiring illegal aliens while citizens are allowed to be homeless and jobless? The hardest working citizens in this country are having their wages suppressed by people who get paid millions (billions?) to do it.

Seventy percent of US millionaires are first generation. Some of the rich (Kennedy, Kohl, Rockefeller) have inherited their wealth, some (Kerry) have married into it. Stealing money is a crime and punishable by imprisonment. When convictions are secured against illegal activity those who have benefits by such have their wealth confiscated. I see no reason the protect what I have earned from the wealthy, there has never been any evidence of wealthy people stealing from the working class and the poor have nothing for them to steal. Somewhere in your life you have been a victim of miseducation and Marxist propaganda. You do not understand how a free market economy works, look into it, capitalism is the system most compatible with human nature and therefore the best hope for all of us. Government attempts to achieve a fair outcome of income always results in reduced freedoms and shared misery

Only about 2% of millionairs in the US "inherited" their wealth.
There are some wealthy families that engaged in illegal activities to obtain their wealth, the Kennedy's in particular. And I am sure a few others weren't completely above board either.
By an large those that took that road are wealthy families and mostly inherit their wealth from what others did earlier in their family geneology. Again, they only comprise about 2 % of those with net worths over one million dollars (not a lot in todays economic world by the way.
With few exceptions, most people become wealthy (accumulate a million in net worth or more) through their own hard work and industry and for the most part they do it legally.
Examples of "wealthy" would be, for one, me. I have a net worth of over a million dollars (barely) I didn't steal it or come by it in any unethical manner. I know a few other "millionairs" that engage in businesses that have made them wealthy. To a man, they have done this legally and ethically. Some in real estate, one owns a dry cleaning business, some are "professionals" like attorney's, accountants and some in the medical fields. Others are "common folk" that do jobs like electricians, builders, and plumbers.
Not everyone in those categories are millionaires, but a few have made it and some have gone far beyond it.
I know that some work 60 hours per week even though they have already "made it". ALL actually EARNED their wealth.
Finally, there exists a VAST number of Americans that haven't reached the millionaire milestone yet that I would also include in the category of being wealthy.
All of these people earned their wealth through working in a free market that rewards industry, good decisions and perseverance. (I didn't make it to the million mark until I was 50 years old)
More than being a conservative, I believe in the principles of limited government and tremendous individual freedom and responsibility as evidenced by our framing fathers vision for America as documented in our original Constitution.
The short answer to your question is that the vast majority of wealthy "conservatives" actually DID earn it.
The miniscule minority of the "super rich" living off of huge trust funds that they inherited seem to be who you are angry with.
And remember, our government and constitution DOES NOT guarantee you any specific standard of living or even that you will be successful. Only that you have a right to life, liberty and the "PURSUIT" of happiness.
It is entirely possible that you could be a lousy failure in achieving the "American Dream" and that you RESENT anyone who has made things go right in order to achieve THEIR American Dream. Resent them so much that you would spread lies and vitriol against the very people that you hope to financially rape in order for you, THE FAILURE to be able to live at all.

Why do liberals with all their intellect still believe in socialism? Maybe they were born into it. Should that mean government should just take it all when you die--So they can give it to you? Why do you deserve it?
If my parents give me $5 or $5 million dollars what is the difference? It was their money. They already paid taxes on it. Shouldn't they be allowed to do with it what they want? If they want to give it to a home for illigitimate kids it should be their choice--Not YOURs and NOT the government.
If they really stole it(not just your opinion). Prove it and throw them in jail.
Who are you classing as ultra rich? By comparision to most of the world the US is the Ultra Rich. And yes we EARNED it! Who's going to take it away from us? YOU? I don't think so.
Marx is dead. Even China is becoming more and more Capitalistic. In case you don't know it Socialism is if not dead, at best on complete life support.

They work. They buy and sell. They are usually smart due to good education. Even the silver spooners are educated before they get daddy's money. Education and work ethic create the basis of conservitism. Low education levels (drop-outs) and no work ethic create the basis for left-wing liberalism, which then creates the welfare state we are in here in America. So if you re-word your question to state that 130,000 people carry the rest on their backs. Basicly what we have now...

It's called property rights. Unless you're homeless, you're richer than someone, too. Before you start looking at your neighbor's property, you might want to look over your shoulder. You've obviously got a computer....many don't. Do you think they should have it?

I am, by no stretch of the imagination, wealthy-but what I have, I earned through hard work and responsibility. I don't fault those who are wealthy- I am disgusted by those who are wealthy elitists and claim to be for the "common man".(john kerry)
and I sure as hell am dead set against "re-distribution" of wealth!

And some actually worked very hard and came from nothing, do they deserve to be punished?
And for those born into, luck of the draw I guess, I dont feel they should be punished for it.
and for those who steal, they will be punished if caught.

You should probably rephrase your question to why to 'rich' people think they deserve it, not conservatives. Not every rich person is conservative. You've made a very arragoant statement.
