I think so.

They make fun of EVERYONE. Dem. and Rep.

They are obviously more democratic than repulican but I agree with a slightly more democratic viewpoint.

I would say that they are more balanced what do you think?

They are great shows, John Stewart is especially funny.

I am a conservative and think they currently lean more democrat but I remember John Stewart not cutting Bill Clinton any slack either.

If the democrats win the presidency then it will probably shift back. Lets face it, it is easier for people to associate with humor about the president then any other politician.

They have the advantage over the networks because I don't think comedy central really cares about weather they upset a political party and they don't have executives throwing there weight around the news room.

They make fun of either side. DEM or REP. It's just that they do it when someone on that side screws up or says something stupid.

problem is that they have had a lot more opportunity to poke fun at the Republicans b/c over the past six years they have screwed up A LOT more.... therefore more jokes about them

I like the Daily show for its Bush bashing. The Colbert Report tends to be more funny in my views though.

Because you think that a slightly left-leaning view point is correct, that makes it a balanced source?

Does that even make sense in your head?

Their humor IS fair and balanced.

Also, they have a nihilism that sees corruption among the rich and powerful for what it is.

That gets some conservtaives VERY upset.

Not necessarilly more balanced. But viewers are better informed than network or any cable source.

COmmerical news is worthless!

they are comedy, plain and simple.. and as long as America is laughing at Bush more than anyone else.. they will keep making fun of him.. as soon as the tides turn, so will they.

If you'll notice, they ridicule the media more than anything.

they're satires of the news , not news shows, hence why they seem balanced.
