People presume that Muslims are anti-Semitic because they are Muslim. The truth is that Islam has no problem with the Jewish faith, its the actions of the Israeli State and the Zionist terrorists (bombing the Palestinians out of their homes, and killing them to ensure majority rule) that rub people (not only Muslims) the wrong way. Like I say, the Jewish people are seen as 'the people of the book' in the eyes of Islam, its the ongoing injustice that people witness in regards to the Israeli state (founded on terrorism) that some people may have a problem with.

Unfortunately it seems to be. The source seems to be the increased influx of antisemitic immigrants from islamic countries. The children of these immigrants retain the prejudices of their parents and carry them into the surrounding culture.
It is extremely important to oppose this tendency. Hate crimes against Jews and synagogues should not be tolerated. The perpetrators should be brought to justice.
I don't know whether this will be enough, if the immigrant families decide to shield these criminals from justice; but it would be a start.

Personally, I dont think so. At least not here in the UK. I could certainly say Anti-Islamic feelings were common (because of stereotypes on the television), but I haven't seen much on the Anti-Semitic front. I do think though that its unfair to put Holocaust Deniers into prison because they question the Holocaust, and I think theres a little resentment about that. But thats government-perogative (sp?), not Anti-Semitism directly.

Anti-semitism - which is really only racism - is a very light sleeper. Dormant for decades, it can rise up suddenly, shocking everyone with its violence. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Now that Eastern Europeans are heading to Western Europe, esp. the UK some are bringing their anti-semitism with them, and I had to tell a Polish hairdresser a few months ago that my husband was Jewish and I would appreciate it if she shut up. She'd cut half my hair so I couldn't walk out yet.
So then she started on Black people, as if that was OK, so I gave her my standard "everyone is welcome in London, Madam, even foreign bigots like you" lecture and left without tipping and never returned.

It may be that there are feelings of disquiet about Israel's actions. These are not anti-Semitism, they are the same as negative feelings about any nation's actions. However, it seems that any questioning of Israel is now classed as anti-Semitism to stifle any dissent of their actions.

I would be a happy bunny with their exclusion from UEFA competitions and Eurovision. They should deal with being in Asia.
