but in spite of that I have no 'friends', the answers that are (I think) good ones are not selected as the best (muppet answers usually win...like: Do you like eggs? Yes...). Well, call me old fashioned but what is the profile of the standard yahoo questions guru. I certainly don't 'fit' it. But if i asked..."Who likes cheese?"...I'm sure I'd be flooded with genius answers such as 'yes', 'no' and 'my favourite is 'cheddar' (yes...I'm English)

I know exactly what you mean. I ususally try to explain things more and give another view but it seems pointless because no one takes it into account. I have answered 140 questions and have researched or explained to the best of my knowledge every one but most people just vote for themselves and win or get chosen because the answerer knows them. I just posted my first question and got a stupid answer.
Would you consider answering it. I know I said from London but it can be from anywhere really. I really don't mean to be rude but I have an upcoming deadline and I really need to meet it.
