Most are contractors, so it won't actually effect the company. they also at times refuse to pick up passengers with assist dogs.
Short bus, why do like to bash Christians, but have never said an offensive word to a Muslim? it is common practise for you liberal kooks to bash Christians nowdays, yet you guys never say anything bad about other religions. What gives.

It's time that people made a stand against these muslims who think they can force their beliefs on others. He is a cab driver in America and not doing his job by discriminating against someone who has different beliefs. Imagine the outcry if a cab driver refused to pick up a muslim. He should be given a warning and if he does it again should be fired no questions about it.

I'm from Minneapolis. I have never had a problem with cab drivers, Somali or otherwise. Going out in Minneapolis, I have frequently gotten cab rides home from Somali drivers hammered to the bejeezus. Not an issue. I have always wondered about this liquor bottle issue. How would the cab driver know you are carrying a bottle? Do people intend to announce that they are carrying a bottle of booze?
True story, about 5 months ago, I got home from the bar and decided I needed food. McDonald's had a 24 drive thru, they wouldn't let me and my friends walk through, so we called a cab (happened to be Somali) he drove us 2 blocks to the drive thru).
Again... I have never had any issue with this.
It does make good fodder to get people grumpy though.

A company consistently has each and every good to refuse service to all of us they chosen, as long as they don't make that selection based upon status as a member of a risk-free type (race, faith, coloration, gender, etc.). So a cab driving force (of any faith) has each and every good to refuse to %. up a passenger wearing an alcohol, as possession of alcohol is rarely risk-free. further, because of the fact the airport %.-up area is a privately held driveway, they have each and every good to refuse to allow cabs whose drivers refuse to %. up alcohol wearing passengers. The airport may well be refusing service, not based on the religion of the cab drivers, yet based upon their habit. be conscious that their habit isn't inherently non secular in nature--as an occasion, the airport could not refuse to allow cab drivers wearing Muslim-mandated clothing interior the airport, because it fairly is an necessary element of the Muslim faith. And whilst that's an necessary element of the Muslim faith to not drink alcohol, the comparable could not be mentioned of doing company with people who do. Now, is it an outstanding public kin coverage for the airport or the cab drivers to make those strikes? That i don't comprehend.

If they refuse to pick up someone who has liquor in thier lugage or whatever else they can service other parts of town.
Say, I bought a good bottle of wine to share with my wife and I needed a cab ride, how insulting to me would it be if they rejected me because the bottle of wine was visible.
What if we all said, we don't want Somalis driving us around town, how would that go over?

they should be prosecuted and relieved of their jobs the same way pharmacists who won't dispense legal birth control because it's against their religion should.
there was a recent case where a rape victim was put in jail for a few days because of an outstanding warrant (misdemeanor when she was a juvie) for a few days and the woman in charge of her refused to give her the morning after pill because it was against their religion.
people like this are commiting a crime of discrimination against the law abiding citizens who are their victims and need to be dealt with as the criminals that they are.

I'm torn on this one.
its his job so I feel he should do it. but if it goes against his beliefs its violating the constitution.
look how christian pharmacists are protesting having to hand out controceptives, morning-after pills, and RU-486.
if you think they can protest and not do their job in that aspect you can't fault the cab drivers
