hi, I am connecting to public hub that many people are using it, so the connectivity slow down often or cut off. because of the load on it, and most of that people are using this connection to surf internet and play games online, I need the connection to be reserved for few people so the speed or the connectivity won't be over loaded. I asked my network provider to find a solution for this problem, but he dose not want to but another hub and lose more money. Can I manage the number of people who can connect to hub or reserve the connection for a while?
thanks...

Hi

Ok , what you are talking about is a LOAD BALANCING service , wish comes with the cisco routers. Now DEPENDING on the router you have , its how it could be done , The fastes way will be to either reduce the ip addres on the dhcp or prioritize the connection via IP , hence lets say from 192.168.0.2-20 will ONLY connect from 2pm to 8m , this is one way , the other will be , IF from 192.168.0.5 connects the shutdown ips from 192.168.0.6-20 let me know if you need more info on load balancing bandwith ok
