The buffets, even with a diverse group of appetites a good LV buffet will cover everybody.

My Favorites for great food & good prices
Main Street Station
Orleans
Fremont>Tue/Fri/Sun seafood buffet
Mirage>lunch buffet

I enjoy eating at Main Street Station's 777 Restaurant & Brew Club. You can have a nice steak a couple of beers and desert for around $15.

This site has an up to date list of all LV buffets, graveyard specials and meal deals.

The best of the moderately priced steakhouses
Pullman Grille - Main Street Station
The Range - Harrah's
Prime Rib Loft - Orleans
Billy Bob's - Sam's Town

A very good inexpensive place, is Roberta's Steakhouse at the El Cortez..

I agree with some of the places that have been listed, but it really depends on the type of food you like. Las Vegas has everything from great steaks to great international. Billy Bob's at Sam's Town is good, Margaritaville on the strip is fun and tasty without the fancy atmostphere, the Burger place at Mandalay Bay is good, Grand Cafe Lux at The Venetian, and check out all the great places on Flamingo headed east just off the Strip, Here are a few on Flamingo: Bahama Breeze, Buca di Beppo, Cozymel(Mexican), Morton's (expensive steakhouse), P.F. Chang's, etc.

The Peppermill, on the north Strip, next to the Riviera, has a lot of great food and lots items in that price range and you will get an enormous amount of food for your money! Funky, 70s style decor - classic neon. Go for breakfast or brunch and you won't need to eat lunch. Always in the "Best of Las Vegas" lists.

They also have a bar, The Fireside Lounge, that you have to see - groovy!

I'll be eating breakfast there a week from Sunday!

Try "Mon Ami Gabe" in Hotel Paris. It is a French Bistro (steak frites, salmon, mussels and frites) moderately priced and has fantastic wine and imported beer selections.
There are others that are good but this restaurant is our favorite and whenever we have recommended it to someone they have thanked us later!
bon appetite!
