it is my understanding that phenomenology called into question the validity of the traditional distinction between subject (observer) and object (observed).

was this question ever answered, or was it simply disregarded?

-or am i mistaken in my understanding of the question it raised...

when i ask 'was the question answered' i guess what i really mean was 'was the traditional distinction b/w subject & object ever successfully defended against the phenomenological challenge?'

Subject and object are a human construction and do not exist in reality.
