They are completely useless at this point,as people don't know anything about the people they are supporting. Joe Leiberman led nearly every poll in 2003, and ended up losing to Kerry, Clinton only had between 8-10% in the polls prior to his campaigning and ended up winning.

Polls show trends. For instance Barack has gained on Hillary due to Blacks switching from her to supporting him. It tells politicians and interested people like me what people are thinking. They aren't perfect, but they are better than nothing.

Man, polls were coming out for this race months before Bush was elected the first time. I honestly don't understand it, but it gives the media something to do I guess.

The dirty campaigners pay the media to manipulate the polls so they start polls as soon as they get paid.
