I think abortion is worse. I got pregnant at 15 and I am 19 now. Sure I get looked down upon but I don't think I should. I took responsibility for my actions. I am trying to do everything I can to raise my girls.

I feel if you are capable of raising or willing to learn how to cope with the child then keep the child.
If you honestly feel like you can not raise the child and you are not willing to learn nor do you want to go through the pregnancy then abort the child.
The reality is, people don't always make the right choices. You have some females who are more than capable of taking care of the child and choose to abort the pregnancy because of selfish reasons like.............. she don't want to gain weight or the baby daddy threatens to break up with her. And then you have the female who can't even take care of herself and don't care about a thing and yet she keeps the baby who is now malnourished or who is now in foster care.
In the end no one should look down on anyone, leave that up to the higher power. If anything you should try to help the person in any way you can.

I think neither one is worse. She should definately not look down on any teenage mom, having a baby is overwhelming at any age. My mother was young (16 when she had my oldest sister) and she did fine. But I do think abortion can be a good thing if a young girl does not feel capable of handling a baby. There are a lot of unwanted children out there suffering, it takes courage to make either choice.

Having an abortion is worse for the baby and worse for the mother. In the short term the teen may or may not feel better right after the abortion, but it is a source of tremendous grief later.

There is a third option for you "which one is worse" questioners. Planning an adoption for a child you are prepared to raise can be the best solution for the teenage girl (who gets to go on with her life without being a mother at a young age), for the baby (who gets a life with a family that really wants a child), and for the adoptive parents, who are prepared to raise a child. Please keep adoption on the list of possibilities.

I think abortion is wrong except in extreme circumstances. I don't think that teen moms should be judged negatively for choosing to keep their baby. When you are faced with this problem, you make the decision that is best for you and that unborn child. Being a mother is hard at any age and I believe it is very commendable for any teen mom who faces up to her responsibility and raises her child.

It's personal choice but you have to look at things in the long term. Like how would you take care of the child. Your family aside if you are going to bring a child into the world you better darn well be about to take care of you and that child and not rely on your family to do it. I myself got pregnant at 19 and could barely take care of myself, so I had an abortion and i don't regret it at all. But being a woman its my body I can do what I want with it, don't let anyone try to take you in or out of something you want to do. Good Luck

It boils down to personal beliefs but I believe that keeping the child is a much better choice than having an abortion.

I personally think having an abortion is worse but that is because I believe it is wrong. I believe that every human being deserves the right to live. Others feel differently.

Any option is always better than having an abortion. Whether you are 15 or 50 years old. Abortions are morally wrong. It's murder, bottom line. It doesn't "depend on your beliefs". If a teenage girl got herself into the mess of being pregnant, she should not murder her child for her own selfishness and irresponsibility.
