No...the whole point of those shows is to *provide* the listeners with an opinion, then try to sell them posture-pedic matresses.

Is there any kind of opinion based radio show that challenges its listeners to use critical thinking skills? That would be the better question.

Conservatives run the media. And each and every thing else. human beings want money and conservatives have it. Many are frightened to admit that they pay attention. You're gonna have to go with local radio; depending on which state you're in, you might have better luck. Do you have access to shortwave radio? That'll give you access to a heck of a lot of people, and although they aren't talk shows, they can really raise your mind..

Especially given if you're tired of the view-point your listening to someone yak 'bout, you can just change the frequency and find something more to your taste. And, if worse comes to worse, they're very useful in a survival situation. Just my two cents, though.

Roger Hedgecock is very informative, Walter E. Williams is a phd at George Mason university. I think they are both really great when they guest host for Rush Limbaugh.

Listen to one of those 3 for the best info on conservatism.

any radio or tv show -- news based or current event entertainment based should allow any listener to use critical thinking skills.

it's up to the listener or viewer to decide if they want to think about what they are hearing or watching. it's the listener/viewer's obligation to seek out truth if they think what they are hearing or seeing is untrue, etc.

Michael Savage

Do a search and see which station he is on in your area. Very good points to think about every night on his show, and when he gets too out there you can tune it out and take what you can from it.

He is the only one who will talk frankly about all the stuff we think about and debate in our minds, bringing it to the forefront.
