There are so many different old wives tales on how to predict the sex of your baby....believe me I did them all and take it from me the only way to know what your baby will be is at your 18-20 week ultra sound. Even if you guess right just remember you had a 50/50 chance to start with.

Here is what I have heard....the sperm that produce males are faster, but not as "durable", the sperm that produce females are slower, but able to stick around longer. So, depending upon when you ovulate...if you have sex right when you ovulate, chances are it will be a boy (the fastest sperm to get there will fertalie the egg), if you have sex a few days before you ovulate, it will be a girl (all the "male sperm" will have died off already). At least this sounded a little more scientific and logical to me that some of the other ways I have seen of predicing or choosing the sex of the baby...

Conceiving a girl- You must have intercourse several days before you ovulate.
Conceiving a boy- You must have intercourse on the day you ovulate and the day after.
Here is the scientific proof. The male sperm (Y chromosomes) are smaller, lighter, faster, and more fragile than the female sperm (X chromosomes). The female sperm are generally bigger, heavier, slower and heartier, and thus tend to live longer than the male sperm. If you desire to conceive a boy you should time intercourse as close to ovulation as possible so that the fast, light, male sperm reach their prize first.
I personally have not tried this yet but can't wait.

If you look up a Chinese Birth calendar you can try. It was right for me but wrong for about half of the people I know... so I think its the same odds of whether it is a girl or a boy to this chart. Its for entertainment purposes

Well, you get a 50/50 shot with the chinese calendar, as with any other prediction method.

I had three boys. This is how I knew that I was having boys. One way way has an ultrasound and other way was the way I was carrying them. I was carrying them low. So, I figure out if you are having a boy you will be carrying him low, but if you are having a girl will carry her high.
