Be honest. Tell her that you're lazy, unmotivated to challenge yourself in courses you're not interested in and that you're immature and have made a bad choice as a result. She's got to give you a nod in your favor for at least telling the truth.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for plagiarism. All you need to do is cite your source. I was an English teacher for 40 years and taught research for many of those years. In my class you would have received a zero on the assignment. Plagiarism would have been a MAJOR topic for discussion at the beginning of the year under my list of expectations. I accepted NO excuses because none are valid.

There is never an excue to lie; especially as you are only hurting yourself in the long run. What are you learning if you lie, it's as bad as cheating and stealing!
Just suck it up and tell her the truth, perhaps the teacher will let you do a makeup paper.

there is no excuse you doof. We are ALL told that plagerism is wrong ever since grade school. If you want to use someone elses opinion/work, all you have to do is cite them as a reference! If you copy their stuff word for word, you better put it in quotes and say who said it.

There is no good excuse. You are just going to have to deal with whatever consequences your teacher gives you.

Tell her you forgot to source it and forgot to use quotes, and next time you see her, give her a bibliography citing that source
