Well, remember the overarching theme of 1984 is that Big Brother was watching and listening to everything, so the portion of the Patriot Act that allows for wiretapping without a warrant from a sitting judge fits that bill pretty closely...

Let's see.... now you need an ID to buy cold medicine, George W is listening to cell phone calls without a warrant, A New York congressman wants it to be ILLEGAL to wear an mp3 while crossing the street. Everyone who commits a felony gets DNA taken for a database. Go ahead take your pick. All infringements on the bill of rights/constitution. Pretty soon they will put a legal limit on how many squares of charmin you are allowed to wipe your butt with.

securitie camera watch you almost every where you go.
Government (big Brother) can access your computer files and personel data.


It is not too big of a stretch to see that 1984 is here, just a little late.

Now everyone can see what you're doing and put it on the internet and you won't even know it.
