I would like to make acquaintces with other people throughout the world?

I speak english and a little spanish. How can I hook up with people. I am particularly interested in people with different economic, political and religious views.

congratulations, with your language skills you will be very well able to meet friends from all over the world.

Some of the quickest and easiest ways is by joining some of the many (free) Internet networking, such as LinkedIn or Xing.

(If you don't know them or know them but don't know how to join, let me know, I'd be happy to send you an on-line invitation so you just click on the link and get connected).

Another good way -depending on where you live- is to attend the various events and networkings organised by the various Chambers of Commerces.

E.g. I live in London and frequently go to the Spanish Chamber, the Canadian Chamber, the German Chamber, the Arab Chamber etc and meet a lot of people. It's not expensive at all, if you join one Chamber you'll get a lot of invitations and mostly they are free.

You could also join a Charity that supports a good cause in a specific part of the world and through this meet people. For example you could support an Charity that helps African schools or Peruan orphans, or whatever you fancy.

If you mean that you would like to meet these people personally face to face then a good way would be to hitch-hike round the world. However this would be highly dangerous because you could be attacked, kidnapped, robbed or even murdered.

A safer way would be through the Internet. Yahoo Answers perhaps or start a Blog.

Whatever you decide please be carefull. Some of these people might look interesting but might not have your best interests at heart.
