Hi, I experienced discomfort as you could call it (not all that painful or anything) on the left side of the abdomen this time in my cycle. So I believe it is possible to feel abdominal pain on ovulation. It usually occurs on one side of the stomach depending on which ovary is releasing the egg. It happens when the follicle matures to the size where it has grown enough and releases the egg. So this pain or discomfort could be felt at the point when this follicle grows and prepares to release the egg. This ovulatory pain is commonly referred to as "mittelschmerz" as it occurs mid cycle usually at the time of ovulation.

Yes. I notice on my left side where ovary is a slightly swollen, tender lump accompanied by a sharp stabbing type pain for a short while then it disappears. Once I felt it actually move towards the centre of my body over the period of a few days! It was like a mild cramping.

hey females as we talk is 14DPO and due date for AF, yet nevertheless no signal of the witch. I examined this morning (no longer FMU although), besides the undeniable fact that it replaced into unfavorable. i have never any authentic indications, except gentle and extra swollen breasts because after O (in many situations get this, yet even fiancé thinks they are way higher) , occasional complications, had undesirable warm flashes the day before as we talk and soooo thirsty! also had some twinges in my left and proper ovaries and down lower than this morning. decrease back is starting up to soreness, so wondering AF might want to easily be somewhat at the back of time table - cycle is mostly 26-28 days and purely CD26 now, so...argh. allow's all wish for the most suitable ~ infant dirt women!

I can always tell when I am ovulating, and even which side it is. As I get really sore (sometimes a stabbing pain) and can sometimes even feel the ovary as a slightly swollen 'lump' in my abdomen.
My GP tells me this is normal and I have never had any problems conceiving. (on my second pregnancy now)

Both my daughters 34 and 35 always refer to this pain as `popping eggs` The elder has sharp pains whilst the younger refers to it as a dull ache. Both been checked out by doctor and told all is well.

I am in my 30's with two children and have only experienced this for the passed 2-3 years. I get a dull ache on one side but it varies from month to month what side it's on. It's perfectly normal and definitely not anything to worry about.
