Legally, you do NOT have an expectation of privacy at your place of employment - so the best thing to do is to avoid doing anything you think is questionable.

Yes, no matter what you try to clear. Many people have been fired for things they have done on the internet at work. Many employers have new employees sign forms regarding internet use.

Yes and they most definitely do view all your stuff, even if you clean out your cookies and temp files. Your computer is usually part of a network and it also has cookies and temp files for everyone --so it's useless for you to clear those files out everyday, they're going to see it on the main computer anyways.

I always hoped not but someone told me even the government monitors e-mail because it goes through the phone line so I don't know I would imagine they do and can...would suck in a nosy office type setting...

Ya they can, you should clean out everything like your cookies, history, chache e.t.c I wouldn't go on game sites or anything inproperiate, I have a company labtop they can view what I've been doing on that also.

Oh yes. And many do. They don't want you giving away company secrets and they want to avoid Sex Discrimination law suits, etc, etc, etc. So wait until you go home to surf the sites you don't want your employer to know about.

Of course they can if they choose to, Doh! careful...
Oh and if you delete your history etc they will suspect the worst so don't do it all just delete individual sites. They can still find out from the service provider if they bother though.
