I go to a main webpage and a pop-up automatically comes up. In the pop-up, there's a message and a link. When I click on the link, I want it to open up in the original window (where my main page is). Is that possible? Thanks!

I know pop-ups aren't a good thing, but this is temporary for an intranet site and it's like a FYI announcment...

yes it is possible, but pop-up windows are really bad and that is why there is dozens of pop-up blockers. I suggest that you find another design which does not use pop-up.

You shouldn't *design* your website depending on this! Remember that some folks have pop-ups disabled!
