I heard on Oprah I think that one of the best ways to save is to basically do what Bank of America is offering. You round everything up that you spend when you write it down in your check book. Though it doesn't seem like much .25 cents really helps after awhile.
As for looking at work with excitement instead of dread, I suggest looking at indvidual tasks you do at work, no matter how small. When those tasks are complete take pride in the fact that you're the one who did it. It's small but for me at least things aren't so overwhelming or intense when they're broken down into smaller doses. Just take pride in what you do even if it seems trivial or like some one else could have done it, they didn't do it, you did!

just curious, what do you do? I used to be a cashier, and while I was working alone and the job was hectic, I focused on my regular customers and their smiling faces. That was what kept me enjoying my job.
As for the spending less, try making a list before you go to the store. Do not buy anything that is not on the list, that way there are no impulse purchases.
Good luck!

The only answer is to create a budget. Get all of your fixed expenses together, subtract that from your take home pay. Now take that amount and decide how much you'd like to save a month and how much 'fun money' you want to give yourself. Then stick to it. It's the only way to go.
Most helpful would be to take note of what you spend your money on and figure out ways to be more frugal. Do you really need all the things you buy?

There are many ways to work with BeautiControl. They train you to have Spa parties in which you can customize skincare the guests, sell spa/body products and cosmetics. They also train you to determine peoples "seasons" and which colors are best for them both in wardrobe and cosmetics, with make-up application techniques. Another route is being Bridal consultant, they supply everything you need to help brides with there big day, regarding dress type, hair style & veil choice, skincare, make-up and relaxation techniques. Another option is going in to businesses and having mini stress breaks.
I have hosted parties at my house, gone to peoples houses and hosted parties for them, gone into businesses for the stress breaks and now I use the products with my massage clients. The products are wonderful and they sell themselves.
I am pretty new to BC, but so far I love it. I joined for the skincare because I had heard wonderful things about it, and because to remain a consultant and receive the discount on the skincare you just have to place a $100 retail order every 3 months. (minus discount). Now I am building a business for myself, so I can stay at home with my little girl, she is one month old.
BC supplies everything to start your own business. All for $99, what an opportunity!
It's usually $250 to join and receive over $500 in products but this month it's $99!
If you are interested, email me or check out my site listed below in sources.
Good Luck!

Just tell yourself you need to save. I was going through the same thing you were. I'm working and since I was making lots of dough I was like "screw this." Now look at me I'm barely making it, and my bills are pilling up. Don't be another me. Really save your money. Go half on your check. Spend some and then save the next one for your next paycheck. It helps ALOT

I would try to take atleast $20-$50 each week or every two weeks whatever your pay cycle is and put that into a savings account and as time passes you will see that you have started to create a budget and have money saved for emergency's.
then set out some money for going out but try not to go out too eat too much its not good for you anyway. You should try to eat at home and make healthy things.

Work hard and stay busy. Work goes by a lot quicker if your busy. As far as not eating out, start cooking. Get some cheap recipes and try em out. If you like em, keep using em. Theres a million and one uses for ramen noodles and other such things, trust me.

most work is not fun. even what seems like a fun job like working at hooters or being a bartender probably sucks after a while. as far as saving money, buy cheaper food, try cooking, bring lunch into work instead of eating out
