basically I want to be accepted and respected and loved and adorded by them. I would think they'd be impressed by me knowing their culture but I don't know much except saying OPA when you break plates for good luck and that you do that at weddings. I want to appear respectful and I want them to feel I am good for their son. What should I do or not do? and what about if he invites me over for dinner for his parents(he did before but I wasn't able to make it). also how should I dress and what should I talk about without looking like I'm self absorb(which I'm not)?

It is as much difficult for them as it is for you.
Greeks have family in first place.Shaw respect for his parents and double respect for grand parents.Be friendly with his sister/brother.Play with small children if any.
Careful with his mother:
GREEK MOTHER-IN-LAW IS THE WORST ENEMY IN THE WORLD.
Talk to yr boyfriend about food so he can help his mother about choosing what to cook for the occasion.YOU WILL HAVE TO EAT AND ENJOY IT.Greek food is great and you will have no problem with it.It is normal to eat a lot, do not be shy to refill your plate. And do not forget to give your best vote for food. Even to ask for a recipe.
Dress as you feel to,have to be confident.
Behave like you usually do.No theaters. They have to accept you as you are.
Oh, take some flowers or sweets for the house.
You will love the hospitality of Greek family.
Do not forget : BE YOURSELF !
Good luck and send us your impressions 1

Sweetie, you are in for a ride. I have been dating my Greek for about 2 years, the only advice I can give is don't be shy and speak up. If you just sit there and listen to everyone else you will be lost. Greeks are all about family get togethers, eating laughing and telling stories. It may be over whelming at first, but you have to just jump into it, have fun and enjoy!! Good luck.....Don't be shy!!!!
