Well we are all SO different. I don't agree with what our gov't does or choices our leaders have made.....and I'm frankly embaressed to be called an 'american' at this point. I'm definitally not one of those patriotic 'Proud to be an American' types. LOL
But I love that anyone can come to this country and be anything they want without limitations. The thing I love most about the USA is that I can meet people from all over the world and learn many things from them.

The thing about being American, is that anybody in the world can come here and become one. There is no other place like that. Not even Canada, eh?
Aside to D_I_P_P_Y or whatever. If you believe that vicious fantasy Farenhooey 9/11 is a documentary, you are the very definitiion of "gullibility". I have a nigerian bridge to sell you.

Here's the way I see it.
The glory days of America are over.
The America that my dad grew up in ... the America that my grand-father fought for no longer exists.
America is run by the corporate elite of this country. The average citizen doesn't have a voice anymore because politicians are all bought off by the corporations.
American policy represents whats in the best interest of corporate America.
America is nothing more than a shell of its former self. I suspect many insiders realize this and are profiting off the remants while the getting's good.
The US is so divided, loaded with competing ethnic groups, and political groups and religious groups, it's on course to break up just as every other major empire did before.

since i am a american i sometimes get disgusted with their actions but no body is perfect. we have a lot of faults but we are only two hudred years old or so as a country so maybe also the fact we are made up of people from all over the world and have no real culture of our own. but as i said you have to take the good with the bad. its just like relatives..you don't pick your relatives as you are born with them but you can pick your friends..enuf said..

There are some good Americans but a lot are culturally ignorant and don't care that they are.
