Almost all (accredited) Business Schools require you take the GMAT. I'm sure you can find some online ones that don't (like University of Phoenix).

Some will give a wavier if you had a high undergrad GPA, or have already taken the GRE before you started applying (had had a good score).

You do not need to take anything in order to apply for an MBA, but everything helps for them to take your application seriously. If you want to be accepted, then taking GMAT and doing well on it is worth the effort.

I have an MBA and was not required to take a gmat test. Got my bachelors with a 3.5 GPA from Univ of Florida and my Masters from Univ of Phoenix.

Only if you want to go to a good school.

Any school that does not require the GMAT isn't worth going to.
