No, don't bend to this peer pressure. One won't get you addicted, but why bother to do something that is not good for you.

One cigarette is probably not going to get you addicted, but what would be the point??? It's not going to get you high either. Are you trying to look cool? Because quite frankly, it's not cool when you get older and you're hooked and people make fun of you and pick on you for smoking. I'm 26 and I have been smoking for 11 years now and while I was smoking that first cigarette when I was 15, I never would have thought that all these years later I would be so hopelessly addicted to something that I can't stop.

Please don't do it.

Smoking can become a bad habit. No you shouldn't try a cigarette, I mean what would be your reason too? to fit in with your "friends"? That's not a good idea. I'm not a smoker so i can't say that one cigarette will make you addicted but cigarettes can lead to other things. Stay pure to yourself and don't try it because your friend wants you too. Bad idea

I think you know the answer before you wrote the question. So ask yourself this? Is it worth it for one cigarette? And things get easier to do once you've tried them, so if one time was ok, why not one more? For example, it's easier to shoplift once you've tried it. But eventually you find that you're caught up in it. The easiest thing is to not start. Besides being smelly, smoking is very expensive. The cigarettes cost a fortune (think of what you could do with the money!) and there are unseen factors too. All insurance costs signficantly more. Most nonsmokers don't want to be around smokers. Tell your friend to leave you alone. Peer pressure can be beat!

No of course one cigarette dont make you addicted but if you are dumb enough to say yes to the first one will you be smart enough to say no to the second one? More then likely the answer will be no.Pure pressure sucks and so does your friend.Get rid of your friend.

No, don't try it. One cigarette doesn't usually get you addicted, but it gets you started smoking. and before you know it, you are addicted. Almost everyone who is addicted to smoking wishes that they had never started. It may seem like just one cigarette now, but when you are old and dying a painful death by lung cancer, won't you wish you hadn't had that first cigarette? There are much cooler ways to die! (Just a joke)
And, if your family has a history of smoking, it may only take one cigarette to get you hooked. I say don't ever start. Smoking is a bad habit, it makes you smell bad, and it makes the walls in your house turn yellow, and it bothers everyone who doesn't smoke.
Don't try it. Try to get your friend to quit. If you truly care about her, you wouldn't watch while she slowly kills herself. But on second thought, maybe she isn't your friend if she wants you to smoke. But you should try to help her quit anyway. And don't give in to her requests that you try a cigarette.
So remember:
*You CAN get addicted from just one cigarette.
*Smoking causes cancer, lung and heart disease, and lots of other problems.
*It's NOT cool, it's disgusting.
*Non-smokers don't like to be around smokers.
*Not only are you hurting yourself, you are hurting the non-smokers around you.
*It makes you STINK! Your clothes, your house, your car, your hair, your breath, EVERYTHING!
*It causes your skin to yellow and your teeth to become yellow and disgusting.
*Need I say more?

are they pot smokes or just cigarettes? whatever it was please dont try It I stared smoking at 13 and finally quit. It was one of the hardest things I ever did plus I did marijuana cigarettes to which makes you get more high and want it even more. I'm 17 and I sometimes still want to so my advice dont even start its seriously to easy to get hooked but no one single smoke wotn do anything to you except maybe make you feel kinda sick the first time. Plus your going to smell like it all the time and you dont want to find yourself lieing to everyone one day because you want to go get high or light up its really not worth it. God be with you hun

All it takes is one cigarette for some people.Sometimes it takes more but no matter what you will eventually want another and another. My best answer is if you don't want to be a smoker then don't smoke it.Remember that you will be wasting money on them, and they will make you smell like an ashtray. They also mess up your taste-buds.I hope you make a good choise.

Don't do it.
One won't get you addicted, but if you see people doing it, you and you don't feel like you fit in because you don't smoke, you will want another one. After about 5 you will be addicted, so prevent yourself from dying of smoking like 30% if the world by not even starting.

one cigarette won't make you addicted, but I strongly urge not to even try one cigarette. It is going to make you cough your lungs out. Do you think that is enjoyable? Would your parents approve? Just don't do it. Show some character and leadership. In fact, be a true friend, and convince your friend to stop smoking if she wants to still be your friend. Tell your feind that you can only be friends with non-smokers.

My grandmother started with one cigarette when she was 14 and she died of five diffrent lung diseases at age 59. So if you want to be buried by age 60 go ahead.
