Is it hard or easy to learn?

Very easy to learn, in my opinion. If you have trouble learning it, you would probably have a lot more trouble if it was a different language.

Hmm well, Java is easy to learn... kind of abstract though, very powerful language! highly Object Oriented, you can do almost anything you can think of with Java (web services, web applications, applets, traditional gui apps ), and if you dont do specific os api calls, it's cross platform, download NetBeans for free. or Java Studio Enterprise. You may want to consider the free .net ide's too! if Microsoft is good at something, is making programming easy.

java is very easy to learn, but hard to Master!

Easy, but same as C# and recent languages, expect cultural shock if you are already a programmer of '80s unmanaged code.
