The hat is a "panama" style,well made,and well crushed!

What I would do is wet the hat, lay a towel or a teeshirt inside, the way you would line a breadbasket with a napkin? then inflate a balloon (the teeshirt cushions it from getting popped) inside the hat. Wetting the hat makes it more pliable, and the balloon should push the hat back into exactly the right shape.

Leave it there until the hat is back in shape, you may have to change it out if it starts to sag.

you should just try finding you another Panama style hat to save you some time and money because trying to reshape the hat is going to be a job,and you just might have to buy another one any way.

Saturate the hat with water till it is pliable, then mold it back into shape - put it in direct sun light - when it dries it will be to the shape you have molded it into....

If it is good still (basically) you can take it to be re-blocked which involves steaming it on a shape so it stays again.... just look in your business directory ...
