It usually takes more energy and time to screw it in, nailing it is much quicker, but not as satisfying when the job is done. So take your time screwing it in, I'm a very experienced handyman, I could show you a thing or two =P

it depends
sometimes a quick nail will do it, hanging a photo , etc.
for strong secure support, many long screws are needed
nails tend to pull out quickly and won't hold wooden things together
when in doubt use screws
