I hate needles too! It does pinch a little bit (and yes your mom can come with you) but the more you tense up the more it will hurt. Just try to relax and don't look. It seriously only pinches for not even a second. Don't worry, you'll be fine. :)

There's nothing to be scared of and yes, your mother should be able to stay with you.
I assume you've had the doctor give you injections before, right? Same sensation for a blood test. They poke a needle in your arm which, of course, is a bit painful but it's not too bad. Then they'll draw out, usually, 1-3 small test tubes of blood depending on what your test is.
One hint I can give is don't watch the nurse actually do it. You might want to watch him/her put the needle in just so when it happens it's not a big surprise, but once the needle is in it doesn't really hurt so you can just turn your head and let the nurse do what needs to be done. That should help keep your mind off things as best as possible. If you have a really good/experienced nurse drawing blood you may not feel much discomfort at all.
One way to stay calm is to take lots of slow, deep breaths while you're waiting for the nurse or doctor to come in. Let whoever it is that's drawing blood know that you're nervous (though they're probably already aware of that). They might give you a minute or two to calm down before they start.
All in all it's a very quick procedure and should only take a couple of minutes to complete. The worst part is getting the needle in, but once it's there everything is much easier.
Hope this helped prepare you a little better, and good luck!

I had a blood test a while ago when we were checking for allergies and stuff... I don't want to lie - it does hurt a bit but it's usually over in a second. Sometimes they can't get blood so they have to 'prod' you for a bit... Trust me - it doesn't hurt much more than a normal injection.
What will happen is you will be in a room, sitting on a chair. Your mum can definitely stay with you. The doctor will come in, talk to you for a bit. They usually offer you a squishy toy to squeeze, which keeps your mind off it a bit and also makes it easier for them to get blood, I think. I recommend that you take one with you, just in case. You should continue talking to your mum as if nothing really is happening, and try to talk about something completely different.
The only disgusting part is seeing your blood in the needle thing after they've taken it out... :(
Hope all goes well!

Yes, of course, your mom can stay with you. She can even hold your hand, if you want. It stings just a little bit when the needle goes in; but after that, it doesn't hurt at all. If you're still nervous, you can talk about this with your mom or even with the person who is drawing the blood---people who work in the medical field are usually very, very nice and know how to help a person feel more relaxed. If you hate needles, just don't watch! If it's not a fasting test, you might want to distract yourself with a yummy treat of some kind.. You could also read, or maybe even bring some music in a walkman or portable CD player.

Blood tests dont normally hurt. They stick a needle in your arm which will feel like a small little prick and put a tube on the end and it removes blood. It takes only a matter of a few minutes and of course your mom can stay with you! Just dont look at the needle and squeeze your moms hand if you need to. It always helped ease my fears a little! You'll be fine and it'll be over before you even know it!

No it doesnt hurt that much. Just try to focus on something on the wall or something, once the needle is in it doesnt really hurt that much. What they do is they stick this needle in your arm, and then well, they kind suck up your blood. Just look at a spot on the wall, and dont move your eyes from that spot until you are sure they are done. Dont worry too much about it hurting. Just dont do any coke before you have the test, because finding drugs in the blood test hurts a lot worse than any needle.

I hate needles too! The anticipation is worse than the actual time they draw your blood. You may feel a little stick and just a tiny bit of pain when they put the needle in, but thats all. It helps to tell the nurse how much you hate needles and then look away while she does it. Yes, take mom with you. And honestly, it only hurts a little bit for just a second or two. You can do it!

a blood test pinches more then anything. With your finger nails lightly pinch your skin, thats what a blood test feels like.Yes your mom can be with you while they do the blood test although the person doing the blood test might perfer if your mom stays in the waiting room.To stay calm do not look at the needle or your arm.Turn your head and close your eyes and tell the person who is doing the blood test to let you know right before they prick you so you can take a deep breath in and let it out.Let the person know you are scared of blood test. They can work with you to ease your nerves.Myself I fear needles although I know they really dont hurt. With my first son I laid in the hospital for 32 hours in labor.Contractions every minute lasting almost a minute. After the baby was born they had to give me a shot.I was almost in tears.I handle the pain from severe labor but was scared of a needle. You will be ok.

IT will hurt only if you think it will. It feels like a little pin on your skin, for 1sec. Just do look away from the nurse and table and do not move!
I think it will depend on the place, but generally your mom can stay with you, she is the one you should be looking at.
What will happen, is, you will be sat on a chair like kind of school desk (with a mini table- arm rest). The nurse will tie a rubber band on your arm, ask you to relax and close your fist. Then she will pinch you to take the samples, she will take the rubber band off and ask you to open your fist, it will take about a minute or less. Then she will put a band aid or cotton on the place the needle was and you are done.
To stay calm, do not look around, deep breath and think of something nice (a song, a boy you like, whatever).
Good luck!

It hurts, but for a second. It is a lot scarier WITH your mom there. They usually only let parents go with younger children. You will be MORE scared if you know what happens beforehand. When you get it done, look away, and breathe slowly. Try humming a tune, or biting you lip while you get it done. Also, tell the nurse it is your first time and you are scared and hate needles. You will have to do everything the nurse says, or else you might bruise, or be in pain.
