(2x-1)²
= (2x-1)(2x-1)
= 4x² - 2x - 2x + 1
= 4x² - 4x + 1

It depends what you mean by "removing the brackets"

The normal way: see postings by cc and heather8875.

(2x-1)² = (2x-1)*(2x-1) =
(2x*2x) + (-1*2x) + (2x*-1) + (-1*-1) =
4x² -4x +1

If you mean, removing the bracket without changing anything else, then you get
2x-1²
= 2x - 1*1 = 2x - 1

(The second way makes no mathematical sense -- in other words, removing the brackets in this fashion changes the validity of the equation).

Removing the brackets leaves you with 2x-1.
Only the 1 is squared and 1 squared is 1.

If you remove the bracket then the following expression hold

2x-1² , which is equal to 2x - 1.

The answer can be find out by using the following relation.
(a-b)^2=(a+b) (a-b).
byusing this relation for the said question the answer comes out to be
=(2x+1) (2x-1)
I think this can satisfy you.

(2x - 1)^2 = (2x - 1)(2x - 1)

use the FOIL method to find:

4x^2 - 4x + 1

B. C isn't a polynomial. Polynomial potential extra effective than one term. and the way can polynomials be monomials. MONO potential ONE. POLY potential MANY. do no longer pay attention to the different idiots. A monomial is a unmarried term which has NO plus sign (+) or minus sign (-) between entries. it must be issues like 13, 3x, -fifty seven, x², 4y², -2xy, or 520x²y² yet no longer (2x+7) or (4x²-2x).

4x² - 4x + 1

(2x-1)² = (2x-1)*(2x-1)

then use FOIL=> First Outside Inside Last

=2x*2x + 2x*(-1) + (-1)*2x + (-1)*(-1)

=4x² - 4x + 1
