I'm watching TV and you have these commercials for genital herpes, these people are like smiling saying "I have genital herpes"!I understand that they are actors and probably do not have the virus or whatever, anyway my question is how much would you have to be paid to do a commerical like that? There has to be downfalls when people see you on the street, and don't know understand the fact that you were just an actor!!

A friend of mine was in a commercial for less than a second, and got paid 10 bucks....seeings how those people are in a 1-2 minute commercial for about 30 seconds each, I'm guessing they got about $300 dollars for their confessions....that is NOT enough to motivate me to display to the world my health problem with a big fat fake smile on my face!!

Honey the point of those commercials is to lose the stigma of having an STD. The reality is that one in five Americans by the age of 21 has an STD. It is something that we can no longer be ashamed of, and must talk about openly in order to try to keep more young people form being infected. And for those already infected, they must not feel like there is something wrong with them or they are damaged goods.

To answer your question, I would do the commercial for free if I thought that my doing it would help a young person over the stigma of this plague of sexually transmitted diseases we are suffering from.

I think they're sending the wrong message, having genital herpes is NOT alright, and I think the drug company is very wrong for even suggesting such a thing and should be sued....

i think of who ever is calling the different to bypass out, could desire to be the single to pay and possible desire to definately no longer alway being paying. I easily does no longer mooch off somebody each and all of the time, nor do I even have that expectation I hate the actuality that in simple terms bc you could earn a larger paycheck, means you are the breadwinner. places countless stress on the breadwinner and deflates the ego of the different persons efforts.

A cool million after taxes would suite me just fine... Who cares what perfect strangers think? If you know me personally then you know that I don't have herpes and understand that acting is what I do...

Good question! :)

I was on T.V. one time and 3 months later people were still asking for my autograph. I wouldn't be on the commercial because people don't forget.

I don't really care what people would think, all that matters is that my close friends and fam would know that truth, so, it wouldn't take much at all pro baby start at like 5k.
