Not really. It could be that your are too skinny and don't eat very nutritious. You should go see a doctor and be on your toes for osteoporocis.

You have to have a certain percentage of body fat to have a period. My friend didnt have hers until she was 20 when she finally reached 100 pounds. So if you are really skinny that might be why. Also people who arent necessarily skinny but exercise a bunch have the same issue. I used to by a gymnast and so many gymnasts start theirs late.
Still though, see a doctor.

Most likely you will need to see a dietician. Or schedule and appointment with an OB/GYN and get a annual pap smear. Most women need to see an OB/GYN when they are in their teens. You may not be eating properly and this can affect a woman. Until you can see a doctor, take a multi vitaman, eat 3 balanced meals a day and be sure to drink a lot of water.

I have heard of people getting periods at about 18 years old, but to be on the safe side I would go to the doctor if I were you.

Maybe you should go to the doctor and ask her. I'm no expert, but, that seems kind of old to not have it yet.
