I finally was able to clean out my car and found 2 shopping bags with clothing in them. I took them out and hung them up. I pulled out one shirt and discovered it still has the ink thingy on it!
I don't have the receipt anymore and I have no idea what store I bought it at. It was probably a month or more ago.

Is there any way to get it off at home? Or do I need to beg a store to do it for me?
Will I get in trouble if I do that? I don't want them thinking I stole it.

you can pop it off with a wrench. just make sure you don't bust the ink part.
if your not sure what store it came from, how about looking at the bag it was in or the tag?
I know that Gap, Banana Republic and old navy will take it off w/o a receipt... as long as it came from their store.
Good luck.

no receipt? noone will take it off for you. You'll use a flathead screwdriver, and the ink will come out, and leave holes in your shirt anyway, sorry

call the store (any store) and explain the situation.
IF they wont do it, you can do it at home but it will leave a small stain and a hole on the shirt.

I used to work in retail and I heard stories that you could get it off with a rubberband or a magnet.
