Probably not. Lucy was heading into a career in psychiatry. That is often a difficult career in which to maintain a marriage. Psychiatrists are trained to look for the flaws in people's relationships. Something which seems to negatively affect their own personal relationships. Charlie Brown longed for the love of the red-headed girl; after a few years of being picked apart by Lucy he probably would have sought out the company of the red-headed girl or at least a surrogate (like Marci.. or Patty.. or both.. at the same time.. anyway). I think Charlie Brown would have not had the spine to stand up to Lucy and keep the relationship going.

No. Lucy would completely dominate Charlie Brown, like she does now.

I give it six months then Charlie will call the cops on Lucy for spousal abuse crying in the corner and mumbling " the football is after me".

No, she'd be the alpha-female and whip his a** on a daily basis. He'd have a mediocre job and snap once day, shooting up a restaurant after his wife. Or something like that.
