Other than agreeing with you, NO. Homosexual behavior is a form of Carnal activity and is not normal behavior. I think you may want to look at what is going on in the world today. What is abnormal is becoming normal due to cynicism. When you are bombarded wtih bad things, they become normal. Pretty soon you accept them as normal behavior no one can do anything about. What's next? Will child rape become normal and then whats next after that. Pretty scary if you ask me.

Did God actually say homosexuality was wrong? cause when I read the bible I was pretty sure that it was Paul that said homosexuality was wrong. (Corinthians 6:9-10) moses also mentioned homosexuality as a sin in Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 . but these men were humans, not Gods. perhaps it is carnal though, but who has sex thinking "I'm benefiting the human race" I sure don't. sex (hetero or homo) is a carnal urge to be satisfied regardless of who you're screwing. And sometimes homosexuality is not a choice. There is believed to be a chromosomal abnormality on either the Y or X chromosomes in some homosexuals. so while homosexuality may seem abnormal I wouldn't go as far as to say it is an abomination against God. Perhaps God made them that way and loves them anyway. Perhaps Paul and Moses were homophobics.

In my mind I believe that every person has a choice, I find it hard to accept the explanation that the reason anyone is gay is because of mental abnormality. I think everyone has a right to choose what they want to do with their lives, if it makes them happy (a true happiness) then I see no wrong in it. I will never judge someone for being gay, they are like you and me just a different sexual orientation, not that I agree with that choice but I accept that it is a personal choice. Much of what we do cannot be explained by pure logic. If there was a law that said it is the responsibility of all to procreate perhaps I'd have more of an argument for you but no such law exists. Lunacy is a rough word to use to describe homosexuality.
As far as religion is concerned, specifically Christianity, it teaches that we should never judge anyone no matter what. It is not our responsibility to tell others what is wrong or right, leave that to God. But that's a lot longer of a response and I'll spare you that.

The bible only states that sleeping with same sex members is wrong. Doesn't say being gay is wrong. Being born gay is out of your control, but you can choose to be a morally conscious person. And we are all god's children (god knew what he was doing!) so f**k it.
Besides, what conclusive evidence does professor have to support the 'mental abnormality' theory, when there is no conclusive test available for it?
As for homosexuality not 'benefit the human race'...there's a saying here in the north-east: "You wanna move into a good neighborhood, go where the gays are moving". Many of them also prove to be better parents than same-sex couples, but you can look up those studies. And have you ever considered that with 6 billion humans on earth, that homosexuality is a way for nature to dampen our rate of reproduction? We were never meant to multiply this fast; think about it.

Ask yourself this question: does every action you ever perform positively benefit you or others? If not, why did you perform it? Have you ever performed it again?
Just because human sexuality, between a male and a female, produce offspring does not mean that every union between a man and a woman is, ipso facto, good. Just because an act or person can or cannot benefit society doesn't mean that it always does.
Marriage is known to be a benefit to society; that doesn't condone every marriage ever performed. Stealing from people is known to detract from society; doesn't mean every act of larceny has utterly eroded the societal framework (if that were true, civilizations, empires, and such would have ceased to exist long before). Therefore, the benefits of homosexuality are primarily beneficial to those who wish to participate responsibly in it, which is the cause of its existence.
Society is not a one-size-fits-all 'thing'. It is a conglomeration and congregation of individuals, who individually sustain or erode the community. Sexuality is an area where some leeway between participating (keyword) individuals is both normal and sustaining.

I'll agree with you 100% on the logic of it, but to say it is invalid or unreasonable behavior is questionable. There are other species of animals that behave homosexually and there are even some that will change their gender if there is a shortage of the opposite sex.
The problem is that just because it isn't naturally productive doesn't mean it is something people should not be allowed to do. Moreso, if an individual was disgusted by the behavior, why would be be paying attention to it since he's only making it more prevalent and "contagious" for the rest of the world?
Legally speaking, homosexuality should be a right that can be enjoyed, but culturally speaking, it should be avoided since it only inhibits the reproductive ability of mankind like you said.

Your statement that "homesexuality in no way benefits the human race" is questionable at best. The fact that homosexuality occurs in other animal species indicates the possibility that it serves a good purpose.
Perhaps homosexuality is a biological method of population control.
Perhaps it is also a way to provide intimacy with another being, a very strong need in most humans.
To follow your "logic" heterosexual relationships between older humans would be "irrational" as well, since they are "unproductive" in the biological sense. Being 50 myself, I find THAT position ridiculous!! My relationship is extremely important to me, fulfills MANY needs and there is NOT a snowball's chance in a hot place that it will be "productive," if by that you mean children.

This argument contains two basic errors. 1.Every time a person who uses the word god substitute the word god by the word I.It is not god saying that persons will go to hell.It is the person who asked the question saying that homosexuals are going to hell not god.In like manner he says I think gays are sinners it isn't god saying this.2 Sexual feelings originate in the brain(limbic system which is a pleasure center)The prefrontal area is the part of the brain which logic, judgment, impulse control and moral evaluation occur. This function varies from culture to culture. One culture may think homosexual behavior is "bad" and another may accept it,The prefrontal lobes serve the same purpose but interpret it differently according to a persons culture. This argument is culture centric and therefore flawed and inaccurate.
