What is the best time of the year to visit Portugal? I hear it is such a beautiful country, great food and the women are gorgeous...not to mention that portuguese language is sexy :-)

Regarding the Portuguese language, I disagree slightly with you there, I much prefer the Brazilian Portuguese.The European version sounds a little Russian to my hears..

Well, most tourists go to Portugal in Summer, however I would not advise you to do so. First it is the high season and hotels and trips are much more expensive there, as the demand is very high. Also it can be very hot then (above 30ºC or so) - unless you like it that way of course.
In my opinion, the best time is the spring or the fall, as then prices are lower in both hotels and plane trips and the weather is still very good (I would say better than in summer as then you can easily walk around without that burning sun on you!). Winter can be cold (well, depends on your standards, as usually Portugal has one of the best temperatures of Europe, even in winter!) and rainy, so I would not advise you. Anyway, even in winter months you can be extremely lucky and get great sunny days! You never know!
It is indeed a beautiful country, food is great and I think women are great too (although that is not my speciality, you know... ehehe). As for the portuguese language being sexy... Well, that's the first time I hear someone say that! :-)

Hi! you're right, portugal is quite nice, food great, girls amazing! Try the Summer time because there is always a lot going on and fun! but spring is nice and autumn and even winter! in the winter time it's normally sunny you can have 3 or 4 days of rain but no more that week! Have Fun!! and try to savor the moments with no rush cause the destination is close and not expensive, so repeat visits are always possible!

Springtime, summertime, autumn, depending on your preferences. Definitely not winter. Usually people visit in the summer, which is quite understandable.

It really depends on what you like to do, for me July and August are the only time I would visit, but I'm a beach bum.........
I have gone in April and May and it rains allot you can't really enjoy too much.......
