Bonds has never tested positive and players who have tested positive do not recieve the hate that he does. I think it is 3 fold. One is that he is a jerk toward the press and fans. He blames the press for many of the problems that his father had because of negitive comments they made about him. 2 is that he holds the single season homerun record. 3 is that he is most likely to break the carrer homerun record. If he was just an average player and tested positive I do not think he would have as much hate aimed at him

This is obvious. I hate to play the race card, but it applies here. Mark McGwire hasn't nearly gotten the bad press that Bonds has. Jason Giambi got caught red-handed, and the best he could do was say "I'm sorry for the things that happened" A year later the whole nation is kissing his backside. But Bonds, who's never tested positive for steroids had been criticized beyond belief. If you criticize him, criticize the entire steroids era. But out of the three people I mentioned, only one is African American.

He is technically on top of the heap and the higher you are the more they will hassle you. It used to be Jason Giambi for awhile.. and there was a few more, and when they stop hitting well nobody cares.
You can tell the steroid users their arms are very large and most ballplayers even 10 years ago didn't have arms that bulged like that .. my Dad thought they were just using more weights but apparently it was those drugs the trainers were giving them mixed with vitamins.
I hope Bonds just goes away.. his knee is totally messed up from his quack doctor.. so with luck he may never get to the record and he really deserves not to get it. He just emits bad vibes all over the place! The only reason the city supports him is he brings in money to the stadium. Its always about the money!

you answered your own question
2 is that he holds the single season homerun record. 3 is that he is most likely to break the carrer homerun record.

I could care less if he has ever tested positive, it is obvious he has done them. Have you ever paid attention to his homerun totals by season?

A 35 year old player who has never hit more than 46 home runs in a season, and has only had 3 40+ home run seasons in his 14 year career all of a sudden jumps to 49 then 73!

ROIDS!

When Giambi was caught he faced it. The baseball world rewarded him for having the balls to do so with a comeback player of the year award... People are forgiving if given the chance. I forgive and respect Giambi for that.

Bonds, et al users, should have come clean when it became obvious that the party was over and apologized for getting swept up in it. Today all would be forgiven and the records could tumble with less attention.

actually, no person has denied that he has taken steroids. no longer even Barry Bonds. What he stated (decrease than oath) replaced into that he did no longer understand that the chemical compounds he replaced into utilising have been steroids and against the regulations. He never stated he did no longer use them. in simple terms that he did no longer understand. IF he's telling the actuality, then it replaced right into a non everlasting subject. A mistake that replaced into cleared up. If he replaced into mendacity approximately that, then he probable no longer in simple terms intentionally used it to skirt the regulations, yet did until now and nonetheless is. we are speaking approximately drugs in particular produced to be undetectable with the help of assessments... no longer over-the-counter stuff, ya understand? i've got secure a link to a information source in case you decide on verification of all this. There is additionally further motives to have faith he's plenty extra into those issues than he's letting on. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Stop with the "never tested positive". He did test positive to the body cream two or three seasons ago. The cream with loaded with HGH. He claimed he didn't realize it! What a pile of BS. Bonds is the poster boy for steroids of pete sakes!!!!

d b hit the nail on the head an athlete does not become stronger as he ages. Most get hurt then retire. Thats how ya know Griffey jr might have been one of the few that probably didnt use them because he has missed alot of games due to injury

Bonds is as much a target as McGuire, Sosa, Palmeiro. They are all projected HOFers that are notorious for use of steroids. They have never tested positive except Palmeiro, but it does not mean they didnt use them.
