1. Yes, because I could think of thousands of questions a 5th grader wouldn't know.

2-3. I watch the show and think its cute. The pace could be a lot faster, though.

The show doesn' t prove anything other than 5th graders are taught to memorize certain facts; some useful, some not so useful. As we get older, our ability to retain those facts diminishes. There's no shame in that...

Except for the math questions....there's no excuse for adults to get those wrong!!! That's not memorization!

For the main section. I cant have self assurance that a number of the contestants dont be responsive to the very basic products. i admire Jeff Foxworthy and that i take excitement in seeing the youngsters and their abundance of enthusiasm. i've got been a contestant on some shows and be responsive to it fairly is not the comparable as sitting at domicile, yet nevertheless-i'm hoping i could be smarter than a 5th grader.

Hey Amanda,
have you taken notice of the way some askers and answerers misspell, mispunctuate and abuse grammatical correctness? (present company excluded everyone!...I'm referring to the many other questions posted daily).
I think the answer to your question might be:
"NO, too many adults on Answers are NOT smarter than a 5th grader."

Watched the show and I don't like how the host, Jeff Foxworthy, disparages and even mocks the contestants when they don't quite know the answer to an easy question (like the guy last night who won that $100 grand)

the show will last how ever it being new it will have a lot of commercials it takes a lot of dough to pay for a new TV show and what else is Jeff going to do while he is up there but make fun of people and try to keep the suspense the theme song should be changed though and a green worm should pop out of the apple and the show should have it's own website

I'm sure there's one or two I could outwit. I have watched the show, it's funny.

Did you know that at the end of the show in tiny letters at the bottom of the screen, they say how the students were given material and textbooks that covered the topics being discussed in the show beforehand? A little 'refresher' if you will... anyways. It's funny how embarassed people get. hee hee

I have not seen the show, but would happen if they had a few certified geniuses on the show. Perhaps Stephen Hawking.
