Which city should i visit in Italy and why?

Florence is very beautiful. Located in Tuscany and that's really a beautiful environment. Besides if you like culture and art, Florence is all about Michelangelo. His house, the museum with the famous David sculpture, it's huge!
Pisa is just nice for the tower of Pisa but besides that, it's just a small city with not much to to, just some nice builidings but good for a one day visit.
Then Rome! My trip to Rome was cancelled last minute and I haven't been there but I looked up so much about the city, it's beuatiful. Devided in two parts. Enough to see for a week at least!

I loved Venice, but also Rome and Naples are nice. Venice is that fascination by the canals and gondolas and it is very romantic. Rome is full of history and splendour and also is the capital. Naples has got the best natural beauty with the bay and the Vesivius mountain and all that fascination around it. Not to mention the lowest prices than those cities from the north. So it all depends on what you are looking for!
Anyway this is the Netherlands section so maybe you should try Italy as well. Or you want the dutch to give you their opinion?

Rome has so much to see it is difficult to do it justice in a few days. It is also big enough to accommodate the tourists.
Unlike Venice, which is jammed solid in summer with tourists and smells. It is a lovely city, but you should go in the spring when everything is quieter, cooler, less crowded, and doesn't stink !
Florence is a lovely place too but can also get busy in high season.
Go to Rome.....why ?
The Vatican
The palaces
The Colisseum
The Trevi Fountain
The Roman Agora
Piazza Navonna
The ice cream parlours
The Spanish Steps

Rome and Florence are my favourites! Italy is just amazing, the people, the stores, the restaurants, everything!
