YES, I have a hard time loving myself, but I love my husband and children more than life itself. I think that alot of times it's actually easier to love someone else than it is to love yourself. And with my husbands love and help. I've learned to love myself more.

If we look at love from the perspective of the consequence of showing loving acts (acts of service, words of affirmation, etc.), then it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to label any act as truly altruistic. Even loving someone else while we don't love ourselves is selfish. Take it from me.

For example, if I stop and help an old lady change her flat tire, no matter how much of a personal sacrifice it is or isn't for me, I'll have a feeling that I have done something good, which makes my act selfish in some degree.

The only occurrence we see of love that does not result in benefit to the giver is John 3.16. God doesn't need us, not one bit. We need Him. No act of mercy or compassion ever committed by God was so He could receive a benefit He otherwise couldn't provide for Himself.

as a fashion to speak your self out of loving somebody you're able to do it until now you fall in love. as quickly as your in love the midsection gets interior the way of your head. in case you're already in love you're able to have some on my own time and think of with your head and not your heart. Take out slightly paper and write down all the pros and cons of your relationship and take a protracted chilly troublesome look at it objectively.

I think a general understanding of love is necessary in order to use it to love anyone... Self or anyone outside the self.

Most people don't even know what it is and make very personal assumptions of it.

If most people don't understand what it actually is, it doesn't matter what pseudo-quasi, kinda love they feel for themselves or anyone else.

True love is this... Unconditional. and not much more beyond that fits the bill.

Most people say love, but out of necessity more than anything else. What good is that?

People have all sorts of personal agenda's and beliefs on what it is to give or receive love. and very few of them actually understand it.

It simply is... what it is, an entity unto itself, without exception.

Now tell me how many people actually have that to give or feel for themselves? Not many...
