Yes in fact one has come fairly close we live in an area that has occasional tornados.

Not here in San Diego, CA.
In VA I saw a few..but they didn't really rip through..more or less meandered and just tapped the ground a few times here and there..

No, not until one did and it ripped a tree out of the ground and threw it on my car. True story.

Well that was my first guess when the sky turned green, and all the lights in my house went off. Luckily it didnt screw around with our house, but it really ****** up our front yard.

one tore up the town durin the 1800's, but there hasnt really been any in the city since then...a few outside of town, but thats it
