Nothing.
It's "PI", not "PIE". Also, since it is a greek letter/symbol, it should really be pronounced "pee", like the letter "P".
Now don't start asking about SINS, LOGS, AXES and ROOTS, or how to DIFFERENTIATE (between) them, please ;-)

Have you heard the joke "pi r squared"; "no pie are round" ?
You could of course have a pie chart or pie graph;
and real pies are a great way to introduce fractions to youngsters. I have taught "snack math" for years. Have you read the book Eating Fractions?

PIE has a lot to do with maths, especially in the area of statistics since it is a type of chart.
Also you need good math skills to calculate the amount of pies eaten by prezza on a daily basis...

It's spelt 'pi' but, as far as I know, it is pronounced the same. It's the circumference (perimeter) of a circle divided by it's diameter. All of these equal pi and pi is:
3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399
It's a infinitely continuous decimal. You will be able to find you date of birth somewhere in it if you can find a record of pi long enough!

its a magical number, when which multiplied by the radius or circumference of a circle (amongst other things) gives us very accurate data.. regarding area volume and rolling radius/perimeter...
