I see nothing wrong with a cooperative world, instead of petty differences and stupid squabbles. World government may come sometime in the future but it's still very far off, due to the things I mentioned.

The world bank, WTO, and UN are spineless organizations. Thus, to answer your question, no, we are not moving to a world government. Although a world wide democracy would solve many issues (democracies don't fight each other) and ultimately end terrorism, it is not the direction the 'world' is going... yet ultimately, some happy day., it will prevail.

It is a typical american conspiracy theory to see those organizations as trying to control people.

I work everyday with the material they provide, mainly studies and figures and they are really more a TOOL than anything else. If they had real power, how comes we still have problems with the environment or wars ???

No seriously mankind went forward by pooling efforts on a voluntary basis to create a society and not by fighting against each other...

Of course. Eventually no one will be able to purchase goods and services without having a chip implanted in their right hand or forehead. Think I'm kidding?
